The Alphabet in Crime Fiction

With my usual impeccable timing, I’ve come across this community meme over at Mysteries In Paradise. I’m sure my regular readers have already come across it, but forgive me – I’m slow.

Here are the rules

Each week, beginning Monday 10 January 2011, you have to write a blog post about crime fiction related to the letter of the week.
Your post MUST be related to either the first letter of a book’s title, the first letter of an author’s first name, or the first letter of the author’s surname.

So you see you have lots of choice.
You could write a review, or a bio of an author, so long as it fits the rules somehow.

I’ve missed A, B, C, D and E, but there are 21 letters left – can you guess what the next one is? There’s a clue here!

So apologies for anyone expecting an imminent Jeffrey Deaver review, as promised in the now-reading box. I need an F book, so I’ll take a recent recommendation from Tipping My Fedora and Ellery Queen’s The Finishing Stroke is coming your way very soon.

NB – if you want, I’ve done an Agatha Christie, Body on the Beach, Clutch of Constables, DVD Extras Include: Murder and an Ellery Queen novel recently, so I’ve been playing along, even without knowing…
