OK, I’m suffering from a stinking cold at the moment, so it’s going to be a very brief Puzzly post this time. Ten books, with a pretty easy Book Of The Month. Off we go.
The books in question were:
- Murder On The Pilgrims’ Way by Julie Wassmer
- Fire Damage by Kate Medina
- The Templar, The Queen and Her Lover by Michael Jecks
- Standing Still by Caro Ramsay
- A Dark So Deadly by Stuart MacBride
- Death Leaves No Card by Miles Burton
- Star Trap by Simon Brett
- The Case Of Elymas The Sorceror by Brian Flynn
- Dead Woman Walking by Sharon Bolton
- Exit Sir John by Brian Flynn
Anyway, loads of good reads, a few great ones, only one disappointing one. But Book of the Month goes to the truly outstanding A Dark So Deadly by Stuart MacBride (with Sharon Bolton and Kate Medina running a close second). A little odd that these three are three of the most non-traditional mysteries on the list, but they’re the ones that grabbed me.
Anyway, off to bed with paracetamol, squash and plenty of tissues. Be back tomorrow for the answers to my recently little quiz and then on the third of May, the blog tour for Jeffrey Deaver’s The Burial Hour stops here. And then… who knows?
Hope you feel better. Regards, andy
